Beastie Boys rapper Adam “MCA” Yauch is on the mend after undergoing surgery and treatment for a salivary gland tumor last year. “I feel better,” Yauch told EW at the Film Independent Spirit Awards in L.A. on March 5. “It was touch and go there for a while, but I am finally getting my energy back.” (Yauch was at the awards to support nominated films The Messenger and Treeless Mountain, both of which were distributed by his company, Oscilloscope Laboratories; The Messenger’s Woody Harrelson won Best Supporting Male.)

FHP: Driver lacked razor-sharp focus

As authorities nationwide warn motorists of the dangers of driving while texting, Florida Keys law enforcement officers add a new caution: Don't try to shave your privates, either.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say a two-vehicle crash Tuesday at Mile Marker 21 on Cudjoe Key was caused by a 37-year-old woman driver who was shaving her bikini area while her ex-husband took the wheel from the passenger seat.

Here are my nails for my Spring Break Hawaii + LA hiatus...

I've had Hawaii nails before, and those were more muted since we were spending a relaxing vacation in Kona and Hilo. But, since this trip is to Honolulu for my show with Rocky Rivera, plus a quick trip to LA for more musick-y stuff, I decided to go for something more festive, but still with that sunny, tropical feel.

Plus, I've included a flick of Michi's nails. Her's are cute, too.

Acrobatic thieves hit N.J. Best Buy avoiding cameras, motion sensors, alarms in daring heist

SOUTH BRUNSWICK — They never touched the floor — that would have set off an alarm.

They didn’t appear on store security cameras. They cut a hole in the roof and came in at a spot where the cameras were obscured by advertising banners.

And they left with some $26,000 in laptop computers, departing the same way they came in — down a 3-inch gas pipe that runs from the roof to the ground outside the store.

Police believe that’s how some brazen bandits managed to swipe 20 Apple notebooks early this morning at a Best Buy on Route 1 in South Brunswick without detection.
