Submitted by Hopie on Sep 03, 2009So, I'm doing this small side-project on YouTube called "Stolen Nova."
A lot of rappers like practicing writing and rapping by writing verses to other artists' instrumentals, and I'm no different. Well, I thought, 'Why not document these cuts on YouTube?' So, here you go!
The idea behind Stolen Nova a mixture of a buncha stuff. First of all, I had a cut on The Diamond Dame called "Supernova," that I love and became a sort of pseudonym for me. Also, there's that classic Slick Rick line - "Then he jumped into a car, a stolen Nova." I married the two for this title, with the idea that I would jack classic hip hop beats and freak em for my YouTube friends!
So, without further ado, here's "Mr. Fat Duty," originally by the man, Mos Def!
